20 Questions

I've had the pleasure of knowing Tyler Hilton for seven years!  When he came into the One Tree Hill family to play a troublemaker in my character, Haley's life, no one could have anticipated how well he fit in, on screen and off.  Tyler's charisma and talents became indispensable to our show.  He was interesting to watch, eager to learn, and a good friend to us all off screen.  I got to know him pretty well while we were on the One Tree Hill tour with Gavin DeGraw and I can say with all honesty that I was delighted to find him to be a sincere soul.  I'm so glad Tyler took a few minutes to answer "Wish You Were Here's" 20 Questions...

20 QUESTIONS

Were you named after anyone?

After a character on a soap opera my mom was watching at the time. 

Do you like your own handwriting? 

There are several things about me I've learned to love because they're not getting better.  My handwriting make me smile in a "ah, he's trying" kind of way.

What would your superpower be if you could choose one?

I'd love to fly.  Just get away, get high, and go fast.

Are you an Optimist or Pessimist? 

Optimist to a fault.  I think the stages in life (at least for me) have been nievete, optimisim, then will come realism, then pessimism.  I think I could be a crabby old man.  

What do you collect? 

Right now it's iTunes music.  I have a collector brain.  I don't collect anything physical anymore cause I'm on the road 80% of the time but it used to be baseball cards, comics, and the like...

What movie would your friends be surprised that you like?

Dances With Wolves.  

What are your favorite smells?

I love good smells!  The smell of coffee brewing, an elementry school after they've baked something (my mom's a teacher), my dads cologne, tire stores, christmas trees, I could go on and on...

Coffee. 

Wine or Beer?

Wine if I HAD to pick one forever.  But, don't make me answer this one again.

What is the best thing you've ever eaten? (Where?)

Shrimp and grits at the Park Cafe in Nashville.

 Mac or PC? 

Mac

What are you listening to right now? 

Teddy Geiger's song "Lie Tonight".  It's one of the only songs I'll just put on repeat and not change it until I've listened to it 10x or so.

What career would you pursue in another life?

Something creative.  Writing of some sort.  I need that kind of thing to stay interested.  Journalism, advertising, something like that...

What sound or noise to you love?

Haha these questions are hilarious...  no sound ever sounded sweeter to me the the bell ringing that school was over when I was a kid.  Now?  Not to sound cheesy, but laughing.  I hear someone laugh, I'm laughing.  Not even sure why, I just am.

What sound or noise do you hate? 

Forks scraping on plates.  Ewwww.....

Cook or Bake?

Cook.  Baking is too precise for ol Tyler.  Too much room for error.  

Do you go to restaurants and movies by yourself?

No.  I like my alone time in total private.
